Inna

Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, known worldwide as Inna, was born on 16 October 1986 in Mangalia, Romania. She studied political science at Ovidius University before signing with the Play & Win production team in 2008. Her debut single “Hot” topped Romanian charts and crossed over to Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay top spot.

The Guardian has called her “one of Romania’s biggest exports,” and she is the best-selling Romanian artist internationally, with four million albums sold from her first three releases alone. She has moved fluently from pure EDM to Spanish-language releases and experimental, gypsy-inflected projects, picking up MTV Europe Music Awards and European Border Breakers Awards along the way.
